The Secret Service has confirmed the code names
for the country’s new First Family and it seems someone over at
the White House Communications Agency has a fondness for alliteration.
The Obama family names include “Renegade” (Barack),
“Renaissance” (Michelle), “Radiance” (Malia)
and “Rosebud” (Sasha) with the girls’ puppy likely
dubbed “Rover” or “Ruff Ruff.” Vice
President-elect Joe Biden also received a nickname and, surprisingly,
it’s not “Gaffe Man.” No no, the new veep has been
tagged “Celtic” while wife Jill will go by
“Capri.” “Renegade” and “Celtic”
join the list of former Presidents’ secret (or not-so-secret
nowadays) monikers like Dwight “Providence” Eisenhower,
John “Lancer” Kennedy and Ronald “Rawhide”
Reagan.
