The Arab news network, Al-Arabia, distorted Thursday evening remarks made by President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in his address to the people of provincial city of Firouzkouh, northeast of Tehran.

The Dubai-based network misquoted the president as saying that the Iranian nation was to use the chance of negotiating with the Europeans to revise mistakes that it (Iranian Nation) has made during the past 27 years.

While, the president has said that he hoped the Europeans would seize the opportunity created by the Islamic Republic of Iran and return to the right track.

He said, "The European states wishing to join talks (on Iran's peaceful nuclear program -- IRNA) should use the opportunity, granted to them by the Iranian nation, to rectify their performance over the past 27 years."
Distorting his clear remarks, the network misquoted Ahmadinejad as saying that he appreciated Europeans for stepping forward for negotiations with Iran and that the Iranian nation would use the chance to correct its mistakes over the past 27 years.

Moreover, the president told Firouzkouh's locals that Iranians are a peaceful nation seeking to deal with the problems through negotiations.
